Last week the Black Crowes returned to Philadelphia for an exceptional three-night stand at the Theater of Living Arts. The Crowes recently kicked off a long summer tour that will take them across the country including headlining slots at the Gathering of the Vibes (Aug. 1) and the Newport Folk Festival (Aug. 2).

We sent photographer/videographer Jake Krolick to catch the first of the three TLA gigs on July 1. He came back with two amazing videos of the Crowes in action with kinda-new guitarist Luther Dickinson. Here’s the first video featuring the sicky-sicky jam out of Downtown Money Waster, Cursed Diamond, Whoa Mule and the debut of the Crowes covering Bob Dylan’s Quinn The Eskimo:

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the second of Jake’s TBC videos.
