Pullin’ ‘Tubes: Those Beady Eyes

Given their well documented dislike for each other, and public bickering, it’s pretty remarkable that Liam and Noel Gallagher managed to make Oasis last as long as it did. Over the course of fifteen-plus years, the Gallagher brothers have put out seven albums filled with their brand of Beatles-esque Brit Pop, including selling a staggering 22 million copies of their 1995 sophomore effort (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, but at a festival appearance in 2009 the duo’s sibling rivalry finally got the best of them as Noel officially quit the band after a backstage altercation with his brother.

In what shouldn’t surprise anyone in this ongoing rock star soap opera, Liam decided to pick up the shattered pieces of Oasis and form a new band he’s dubbed Beady Eye. The band, who will release their Steve Lillywhite produced debut Different Gear Still Speeding on March 8, recently dropped this psychedelic video for the album’s lead track…

Beady Eye have a string of European dates scheduled for this Spring, which includes an appearance at the Isle Of Wight festival in June.
