Scotty loved the idea of digging into the archives yesterday so much so that we’ve decreed it Classic Rock week around here. Sorry to spring it on you without any big fanfare or ticker tape parade, but just sit back and enjoy the gems we throw at ya over the next few days.
Today I thought I’d go with something from the chameleons of 1960s rock – The Byrds. Was there any genre these guys didn’t do, and do extremely well? Folk rock, psychedelic rock and my favorite genre from them: country rock. They were also masters of the Dylan cover, here they are accompanied by Earl Scruggs on banjo with The Basement Tapes nugget You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere…

Anyone who has some more info on this video please enlighten us. My best guess is the line up there consists of Roger McGuinn (guitar/vocals), Clarence White (guitar/vocals), Skip Battin (bass/vocals) and Gene Parsons (drums/vocals).
