Impressario Michael Dorf has put together a benefit concert in New York City each and every year since 2006 that feature some of our favorite artists paying tribute to legendary performers such as Neil Young, Elton John and Joni Mitchell. Today we found out that the next year’s concert will be a Rolling Stones tribute that will be held at Carnegie Hall on March 13.
All in all, 21 artists will perform 21 songs from Hot Rocks 1964-1971, a greatest hits album put out by ABKCO Records in 1971. For now, only six acts have been announced and they are Roseanne Cash, Steve Earle, Carolina Chocolate Drops, The Mountain Goats, Glen Hansard (Swell Season) and Rich Robinson (Black Crowes). Tickets are available now through Carnegie Hall’s website. We’ll keep you posted on additional artist announcements.

Performing a best off album … That’s lame.
