Ryan Adams Covers The Foo Fighters
After a whirlwind end of October in New York City featuring a stealth show, rocker Ryan Adams and the Cardinals jetted off to Europe to start an extensive tour of the UK. Adams and his band visited the BBC Studios in London to tape an acoustic performance for the Dermot O’Leary show. They started things off with Fix It from their latest release, Cardinology. After chatting with DJ Shaun Keaveny, who was sitting in for Dermot, the group debuted a brilliant cover of the Foo Fighters’ Times Like These.
Adams has been singing the praises of Dave Grohl’s band for quite a while and mentioned the Foos propensity to jam before launching into Times Like These. Head to the Live Music Archive to download or stream the Cardinals’ two-song appearance on the Dermot O’Leary Show. After recording the show in London the Cardinals flew to Dublin for a concert at the Ambassador Theater. You can download a soundboard recording of that performance at RyanAdamsArchive.com.
