Phish keyboardist Page McConnell and three/fourths of The Original Meters have embarked on a short tour that began last night at The Royale in Boston under the moniker The Meter Men and Page McConnell. The show was supposed to take place at The Sinclair but was moved to the larger Royale after a delay in the club’s opening. McConnell, bassist George Porter Jr., drummer Zigaboo Modeliste and guitarist Leo Nocentelli offered two sets filled with gems from The Meters’ songbook.
