A number of legendary Fender Stratocaster players inlcuding Ronnie Wood, Joe Walsh, David Gilmour and Brian May assembled at London’s Wembley Arena on September 24, 2004 for a concert that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the iconic guitar. You can peep highlights of the “Strat Pack” in action on VH1 Classic this Sunday afternoon at 5PM EST.

Brian May has been playing his own guitars for decades. He built his mainstay the “Red Special” himself, though a several companies have manufactured replicas, and has his own line of guitars. He’s also a PhD astrophysicist, ftw.
