Sorry, I’m not one of those guys who sees 20 Phish, Dead and Panic shows each year and claims not to like jambands. I still like jambands and think it’s a pretty good description for rock bands that improvise.

The alternatives are worse, like when you try to describe a show you’re attending to a work colleague yet avoid saying “jamband,” so you’re left rambling “oh they are like an improvisational rock, jazz, bluegrass kinda thing er whatever, They’re good though, you should check em out.”

I have always been an unabashed “jamband” fan, always will. If you don’t like the label, you must have seom deep character issues. Maybe you should stop listening to sad bastard indie music.
