9. Jim James w/ Calexico – Goin’ to Acapulco

My Morning Jacket’s Jim James left his band mates behind on November 7, 2007, when he performed a Bob Dylan cover with Calexico at the Beacon as part of the I’m Not There concert.

8. Steely Dan w/ Phoebe Snow – Dirty Work

Legendary songstress Phoebe Snow joined Steely Dan for Can’t Buy A Thrill’s Dirty Work back in May 2007. While the beginning of this video is ruined by a couple of guys standing in front of the camera, the audio is crystal clear and the dudes sit down eventually.

7. Gov’t Mule and Toots – Turn On Your Lovelight

For the past few years Gov’t Mule has had the honor or ringing in the New Year at the Beacon. On December 31, 2006, Toots Hibbert and the Mule collaborated for a rollicking Turn On Your Lovelight as the clock struck Midnight.

6. RatDog – Donald Trump’s introduction

Billy Procida, a real-estate investor and one of Bob Weir’s best friends, invited Donald Trump to introduce RatDog at the Beacon on April 24, 2006. For the full story behind The Donald’s appearance check out this link.

5. Levon Helm Band – Atlantic City

After fighting and beating throat cancer, The Band’s Levon Helm returned to the road in March of 2007 for two unbelievably fun comeback gigs at the Beacon. Before playing an exceptional cover of Bruce Springsteen’s Atlantic City, Levon introduced the surgeon who helped save his life. This video of that introduction and the cover of Atlantic City was filmed on March 17, 2007.

4. Pearl Jam – Baba O’Riley

Back in June, Pearl Jam ended their North American tour with a special gig at the Beacon on July 1for a private charity event benefiting the Robin Hood organization. We found a clip of Seattle’s pride and joy rockin’ a fine version of The Who’s Baba O’Riley featuring some killer tambourine work by Eddie Vedder.

3. Allman Brothers Band w/ Bernie Williams – Who’s Been Talking

Over the course of the 9,462 shows the Allman Brothers Band has played at the Beacon Theatre they’ve invited many special guests to share the stage with them. But no one got as rousing a welcome as former Yankee outfielder Bernie Williams who joined the Southern Rockers for a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s Who’s Been Talking.

2. Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson – Nightlife

The Beacon has hosted many incredible events over the course of its existence and one of the most remarkable was Willie Nelson’s 70th Birthday Party on April 9, 2003. Among the legendary performers who joined Willie that evening was Slowhand himself: Eric Clapton. Clapton added some bluesy licks and dueled with Willie on Nightlife.

1. Rolling Stones w/ Jack White – Loving Cup

One of the first events we covered when we started Hidden Track was the Rolling Stones’ Shine A Light shows at the Beacon back in October of 2006. Epic director Martin Scorsese filmed the band’s performances and put together an amazing concert film. Among the many highlights that made the film was The White Stripes’ Jack White joining Mick and the boys for a rousing take on Loving Cup.

  1. The Donald looks a lot like Warren Haynes in that Ratdog vid. I know Warren is EVERYWHERE, does that mean he will be sitting in on The Apprentice too?
