WOW. i thought i was alone. This is awesome.
I've been preaching the Fall album gospel of Billy Breathes since the moment I heard it that Fall of 96.

I sample listened to it on a MomPop record store listening station on a grey lazy college Sunday in Michigan. BB still holds my record of knowing I'd love every song within the first sampled seconds of every track on it. It's lucky when you get 4-5...BB was everyone. (Those are sweet days at the record store when they happen.)

As I listened to it at home, I vividly remember knowing deeply that this album would forever be one of my albums I would say i "discovered in college", like i heard so many older people and relatives talk like when i was young. It sounds like good wood big speakers in your cozy apartment on a Fall sunday.

Man.. never thought I'd see a list online going off on BB's Fall awesomeness. had to blab about it. Thanks Wade.

You had me at Billy Breathes.

Hell, forget Fall, it's one of my favorite albums year round. Phish's masterpiece.

Great list, Wade.

The Cure's Disintegration is a good bleak naval gazer I always liked during the fall, too.

[...] [Orig. Published 08/24/08] The fall beckons the romantic in all of us. Most any music fan you talk to will have a list of albums that remind them of the fall. There is an emotional attachment to the scenery around you, the climate change, and the music you were listening to that time of year. I’m not going to wax poetic about the autumn, as we all know the myriad of emotions the fall conjures. Rather, I would love to have your list of fall albums speak for those emotions. Sound off in the comments if you are feeling inspired and if your team is hunting for the Wild Card spot as well, god bless ‘em. <img class="aligncenter" src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r238/hiddenRead more at http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack/the-b-list-wades-favorite-fall-albums/ [...]

Veedon Fleece - Van Morrison. Super mellow, and oh so beautiful. Perfect for a rainy fall evening, or perhaps a quiet Sunday morning.
