The Black Crowes Stick To Similar Script at Show #2 of Tour

As previously reported, The Black Crowes returned to the stage after a nearly two year hiatus on Sunday night in Manchester, England. The band is currently working in new member Jackie Greene, so it shouldn’t be a huge surprise that they didn’t mix up the setlist too much for their second show back, which took place last night at The Academy in Birmingham, England.

Chris and Rich Robinson and Co. offered five songs on Monday that they didn’t perform at the tour opener on Sunday: Ballad in Urgency and She Gave Good Sunflower from 1994’s Amorica, Appaloosa and Been a Long Time (Waiting on Love) from 2009’s Before the Frost…Until the Freeze and a cover of Delaney & Bonnie’s Poor Elijah – Tribute to Robert Johnson Medley. The sextet even kept most of the pacing the same between first two shows of the Lay Down With Number 13 Tour. For example, the same four songs opened both gigs. Hopefully by the time they hit the states they’ll mix it up more.

Here’s the setlist from Birmingham with tour debuts in bold

Set: Jealous Again, Thick N Thin, Hotel Illness, Medicated Goo, Ballad in Urgency, Wiser Time, She Talks to Angels, Appaloosa, Whoa Mule, Morning Song, Hi Head Blues, She Gave Good Sunflower, Soul Singing, Thorn in My Pride, Remedy, Hard to Handle/Hush

Encores: Poor Elijah/Robert Johnson, Been a Long Time
