The Dead Weather To Debut In NYC

Last month, wild-haired guitarist Jack White debuted his latest project The Dead Weather to a small crowd of family, friends and industry folk in Nashville with a short five tune set. The band, which features White on drums along with bassist Jack Lawrence (the Greenhornes/The Raconteurs), singer Alison Mosshart (The Kills) and guitarist Dean Fertita (QOTSA), have announced they will make their first official public appearance next week at the intimate Bowery Ballroom on the Lower East Side here in New York City.

Tickets for this special performance will go on-sale tomorrow at 10 AM via Ticketmaster for $25 with some special stipulations – there is a two ticket limit, tickets will be will-call only and you must bring photo ID and the credit card the tickets were purchased with to the venue.

The Dead Weather will release their debut album Horehound on June 9 via White’s Third Man Records. The band has already released two songs exclusively on iTunes and on limited edition 7″ vinyl: Hang You From The Heavens and Are Friends Electric?.

  1. Hmm…So some bands have the power to defeat the ticket broking machine and others don’t? Who is Jack White’s manager, and why can’t that person work for Phish!!!

And note – they’re on sale through TicketMaster.
