English or no english, great review and glad somone wrote about what was a fantastic mix of musical exploration it was. They mentioned that LR and Zorn had never played together, and from up close Lou was really into it. cheers.

Who was that lead singer for the beatles cover? she was all there.

solid review man. My personal faves of the night were Lee Ranaldo/DJ Spooky and the Lou Reed set. Maybe it's because it's the 1st time I saw LR live, but I was absolutely blown away. Who else can you name that exemplifies the true feeling of downtown NYC music?

I agree that the last song was a complete clusterf--k. What the hell were they thinking????

Any word as to whether or not Chris Wood was just out for this gig or if he's missing any tour stops? I'm going to see MMW Tuesday, and the Wood Brothers are supposed to open too, and I'd hate to have a Wood-free evening.

I thought it was a good job writing man and maybe we come from different musical influences but how could you like that laurie anderson rant more than the ambient bliss of lou reed and john zorn. I will say i thought that the harmony of the intro for laurie was soild between her high pitched voice and deep billowy synth but after that it lost me, lou/zorn on the other hand, id love to hear that one again

Ouch, that hurts, but thanks for the tip. So, I'm off the Pulitzer short list now? And I always thought it would be the exclamation points and obscenities that got me.

No, that's my bad as his editor. Neddy had originally thrown in references to both Proust and Kant, but I thought instead we'd go with some obscure pop culture television to appeal to the masses. I apologize for letting you down.

Eric Shun? How 'bout this: I'll promise to pay for Neddy's prescribed journalism lessons if you promise to never use such an embarrassingly sophomoric handle. Shake on it.
