The Shows Go On in New York City
The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states are currently getting pounded by a massive winter storm that has wreaked havoc on all forms of travel for the last 24 hours. For those of us in New York City, we’ve still got plenty of options to catch live music this evening thanks to some ingenuity.

While Garage A Trois’ Mike Dillon wasn’t able to make it to NYC, Skerik and Marco Benevento have recruited area resident Adam Deitch to play drums for a special trio gig at the Bowery Ballroom that starts around 10PM. Meanwhile, the Greyboy Allstars’ show at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza will go on as scheduled despite the band’s crew, gear and van all getting stuck outside the Big Apple.
Finally, HT Favorite Scott Metzger will pay tribute to the music of the Velvet Underground at Sullivan Hall with his Heroin project this evening around 12:30AM. There’s plenty of options in NYC tonight, but our friends in Baltimore aren’t so lucky as the Lake Trout show at Ottobar has been canceled. Regardless of what you do, safe travels everyone.

I miss NYC in nights like this. Glad to see “the show must go on” still rings true! mw
