As a way of rewarding their local fan base, Nada Surf have announced three hometown gigs here in New York City that will kick off their upcoming world tour. The Brooklyn-based indie-pop act will play their three most recent albums in their entirety over the course of three nights at three different venues. The band will tackle Let Go at the Bowery Ballroom (3/25), The Weight Is a Gift at the Bell House (3/26) and Lucky at the Music Hall of Williamsburg (3/27) along with as a mix of b-sides, fan favorites and selections from their upcoming covers records, If I Had A Hi Fi, which will be available exclusive during their upcoming tour prior to its retail release.

Kraz and the Soulive crew for Ten Days to kick of Twenty-Ten!
As one may say for McDonald’s, “I’m lovin it.”
you know there’s some sit-in magic a few of those nights.
Here here, Goff. From what we’ve been hearing about who’s going to be lining up to play with Soulive for those shows — hint: what other beloved band like its residencies long, guest-laden and in New York in March? — they’re going to be great. Plus, it’ll be awesome to see Soulive settle in and really build some momentum. I know I’m not alone in saying I love Brooklyn Bowl and the vibe they’ve been able to capture there in such a short time.
Also, I’ll vouch for Hot Day at the Zoo and urge anyone in the area to get to the Lizard Lounge Friday or Saturday. Lots of fun — a real head’s band.
This was refreshing. Its nice to finally find a site where the blogger knows what they are talking about.
