Over the last handful of years musicians have turned to the power of crowd-sourcing as a means to raise additional funds to help offset the costs of recording, touring and marketing an album. You can now add Josh Rouse to the list of musicians who have successfully reached and exceeded their goal, by offering his fans a variety of perks, which included everything from a signed poster all the way up to a private house concert for those contributing to his Pledge Music campaign. On March 19 the singer-songwriter will release his tenth studio album Happiness Waltz via Yep Roc Records, which sees Rouse re-teaming with producer Brad Jones, who he previously worked with on 2003′s 1972 and 2005′s Nashville. Rouse has lined up a two-month-long world tour in support of the record, which kicks off with a gig at the WorkPlay Theatre in Birmingham, Alabama on April 18.

If you’re not into a night with Mr. Rouse, then maybe you’ll be interested in hitting one of these recently announced tours…
