In 2007, Lisa Hannigan parted ways with Damien Rice, after recording two critically acclaimed albums, as frustrations arose within their working relationship. The split, which was far from amicable, seemed to have worked out well for Hannigan, as Rice hasn’t put out much in the way of new material since 2006′s 9, while the folkie-chanteuse will release her sophomore album Passenger via ATO Records on September 20. A week later, Hannigan will head out on a 16-date North American tour, which kicks off on September 27 at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
