tour dates: moe. turns twenty

It seems rather hard to believe, but 2010 marks the 20th anniversary for venerable jam-act moe. The band will mark the occasion starting with a short Northeast tour that kicks offs with a two shows at New York’s Roseland Ballroom on January 22 & 23. The show on the 22nd will serve as a special guest-laden benefit show for WHY (World Hunger Year).

In other moe. news, the group will host another installment of their winter sports and music fest snoe.down in Southern Vermont on March 26-28. The busy band also announced the first annual tropical throe.down – which will take place at Paradisus Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic.

If you’re not into a night with the indie-jam-rockers, than maybe you’ll be interested hitting one of these recently announced tours…

Finally, as we previously reported, the recently reunited Iggy & The Stooges are set to perform their punk classic Raw Power at next fall’s installment of All Tomorrow’s Parties New York. Organizers have revealed the rest of the line up for their Friday night Don’t Look Back performances – which feature bands performing full albums sets. Joining the Stooges will be Sleep, Mudhoney and The Scientists, who will perform Holy Mountain, Superfuzz Bigmuff and Blood Red River respectively. Tickets are currently on-sale for the three-day fest which is set to take place from September 3-5, 2010 at Kutcher’s Country Club in Monticello, NY.
