Earlier this spring, we reported that Jay Lane was leaving his gig as part of the two-headed drum attack in Furthur to rejoin Primus to reform the band’s original lineup with bassist extraordinaire Les Claypool and guitarist Larry LaLonde. The quirky alt.rock act has announced that they will hit the road this summer for their first headlining tour in four years, where they will be joined by gypsy-punk band Gogol Bordello, that includes stops at the Williamsburg Waterfront and the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater. Furthermore, the band will also head into the studio to record their first album since 1999’s Antipop, which is expected to be released in 2011.
