In an effort to keep his vocal pipes in top working condition between tours with The Who, the band’s charismatic front man, Roger Daltrey, will head out for 29 city solo tour to kick off in mid-October. Dubbed the The Use It Or Lose It tour, Daltrey will hit intimate venues across the country where fan will be treated to reinterpreted Who classics, along with solo material and covers that will “pay tribute to his influences and admired contemporaries”.
If you’re not into a night with an aging rock icon, than maybe you’ll be interested in hitting one of these recently announced tours…
- Folk-prog-rockers Decemberists extend their current tour
- Pixies add NA dates to their Doolittle celebration run
- The Mars Volta to hit Midwest and West Coast markets
- Lo-fi rockers WAVVES head cross-country this fall
- Islands hit the road with headlining and support dates
- Mos Def bring his brand of hip hop to a city near you
Finally, when jamtronica act Lotus heads out on their fall tour this September they will offer their fans some unique ticketing opportunities for a number of select shows. The band will not only package special club dates in New York and Denver with their larger counterparts, but have also teamed up with the folks at TicketWeb to offer up a string of Pay What You Want shows from October 6 – 14, with those choosing to pay $15 or more receiving digital downloads of Lotus’ new EPs. Sweet deal.
