Tonight, Trey Anastasio and TAB made their debut on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The show, which starts at 12:35AM ET/PT, will go on despite the ravages of Hurricane Sandy that hit the East Coast hard the previous evening. Unlike Monday’s show, Fallon was able to round up an audience for tonight and tweeted the name of the song TAB will perform…

Tonight @ Band performs a really special version of "O-o-h Child" by Five Starships. Don't miss it.

The Trey Anastasio Band covered O-o-h Child at their first show under the moniker on February 15, 1999 and have performed the tune a total of 37 times. O-o-h Child made The Five Stairsteps (Fallon got the band’s name wrong) a one-hit-wonder peaking at #8 on the Billboard Top 100 in 1970.

TAB member Jennifer Hartswick tweeted from backstage that the band would play “a song dedicated to everyone on the east coast”

Back stage at @ ready to play a song dedicated to everyone on the east coast.
