Video: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band – E Street Shuffle

This past week Jimmy Fallon dedicated the entire week’s worth of musical performances on his late night talk show to celebrating the music of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. The Boss, who bookended the week with appearances on the show, received tribute performances from Kenny Chesney, John Legend and Elvis Costello tackling Springsteen classics I’m On Fire, Dancing In The Dark, Brilliant Disguise and Fire respectively. Last night the week-long Springsteen-fest came to a close as Bruce was the lone guest on what was also Fallon’s third anniversary show.

Bruce not only sat down with Fallon for a lengthy interview, but also poked some fun at himself by performing alongside “Neil Young” for LMFAO’s I’m Sexy And I Know It, dressed as himself from his Born In The U.S.A. days. Springsteen and his newly reconstituted E Street turned in a trifecta of performances last night too, with two songs from his upcoming album Wrecking Ball, which hits stores on Tuesday, but easily the highlight of the entire week was the show closing take on the E Street Shuffle, which featured about 30 people on stage, including Tom Morello, The Roots and Fallon, who was grinning ear to ear as he played the cowbell. Let’s check it out…

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kick off their word tour on March 17 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA, which includes an appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 28.
