Last Friday, I headed over to what has quickly become my new favorite place to see a show – Williamburg’s Brooklyn Bowl to catch Dr. Dog for what was billed as July In Christmas. The Philly-based act – who was clearly in the holiday spirit handing out free “Dr. Dog sunglasses” – treated the crowd to a show that leaned heavy on material from their last two albums and that also included fake snow, tinsel covered guitar cords, a pinata and several Christmas songs in the encore.
