Back in the fall of 1995, the very first notes of God Street Wine music that I heard came via the band’s sophomore studio album $1.99 Romances. The album kicks off with the seven-minute rocker Princess Henrietta which got me instantly hooked on the band’s brand of psychedelic-bar rock that straddled the lines between Steely Dan, Phish and Bruce Springsteen. Wow! This brings back memories. I was at this show at Lupo’s when it was on Westminster St. Saw tons of great shows during the mid-90’s there including Max Creek every Wed. Good Stuff!
