On her 2003, covers-only debut album, Joss Stone took The White Stripes’ frantic tune Fell In Love With A Girl, flipped the gender and turned it into a sultry slow burner. On July 31 the British neo-soul singer will again offer up a covers-only affair, with the release of her sixth studio album, The Soul Sessions, Vol. 2, which mixes standards with a handful of contemporary songs. Late last week Stone released the road trip-karaoke inspired music video for the album’s first single – her interpretation of The Broken Bells’ track The High Road, which she unfortunately does not actually make an appearance in.
