Video: Kopecky Family Band – Hope

Hailing from Nashville, the Kopecky Family Band only features one member with last name of Kopecky, and in fact, none of the members are actually related to each other in anyway. Instead, the six-member act has formed a familial bond through the hours and hours that they’ve spent playing music together since forming out of a dorm jam session on the campus Belmont University back in 2007. Last week the band released their full-length debut Kids Raising Kids via ATO Records, which features their brand of enchanting chamber-rock, highlighted by the well-matched vocal harmonies of lead singers Kelsey Kopecky and Gabe Simon.

The 11-track effort meanders effortlessly between wispy folk, Fleetwood Mac inspired rock and contemporary indie sounds influenced by the likes of the Arcade Fire, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and the Local Natives. Let’s check out of the Lord Of The Flies-inspired video for Hope…
