While it may be too late to make a recommendation to those headed to Bonnaroo or to those already finding themselves firmly entrenched on the festival grounds, but we thought we’d offer up one more just in case you’re checking out HT while your in Manchester. Though Sunday night will be filled with arena-style, jam-rock courtesy of Phish, earlier in the afternoon Kurt Vile & The Violators will take to the stage at This Tent to showcase a different kind of psych-rock with their hazy swirling lo-fi stylings, that draw heavily from the Velvet Underground. Kurt Vile & The Violators hit the stage at That Tent on Sunday at 5 PM, while Kurt’s old band, The War On Drugs, will be just next door at This Tent where their set gets underway at 3:30 PM – which could entice some cross-pollination.
