While Portland and Seattle have been the epicenters of the recent bearded folk-rock movement, further down the coast, bands who call Los Angeles home have been putting their own sun-baked spin on those pastoral harmony-laden sounds. With acts like Dawes, Local Natives and The Belle Brigade paving the way, the latest act coming out of the City of Angels that has been garnering a healthy dose of buzz is Lord Huron. Fronted by lead singer Ben Schneider, the five-piece band may be best described as L.A.’s answer to the Fleet Foxes if Robin Pecknold had grown up near the beach and with a love of Fleetwood Mac.

The band released their full-length debut, Lonesome Dreams, earlier this month. Schneider claims that the album was inspired by a series of Western tales written by George Ranger Johnson – a collection of books, and an author, that don’t actually exist. With that in mind let’s check the out the sprawling cinematic music video for the record’s lead single Time To Run, which plays on the fictional Wild West world that he has conjured up…
