For roughly the next two weeks the Olympic games will be dominating our television airwaves with a mix of the familiar such as basketball, gymnastics and track and field to the somewhat oddball sports like team handball, trampoline and canoeing. The first few days of the XXX Olympiad have been all about what’s been going on in the pool with Michael Phelps and Ryan Lotche kicking their rivalry into high gear at the aquatic center.

So it seemed only appropriate to turn to Mr. Loudon Wainwright III today for this live take on one of the best summertime tunes, The Swimming Song, from his amazingly-titled record Attempted Mustache. Let’s check it out…
