While The Slip will always be near and dear to a lot of our readers’ hearts, we’ve really fallen hard for Andrew and Brad Barr’s new Americana-infused project, aptly named The Barr Brothers. Back in May, the Montreal-based act were invited by the fantastic music blog I Am Fuel, You Are Friends to record an intimate live set for their ongoing Chapel Session series at the La Foret Adobe Chapel in Colorado Springs while the band was in town for the Meadowgrass Music Festival. The four song set, which was just posted and can be downloaded here, primarily focused on material from their self-titled debut, and also included a cover of Neil Young’s Don’t Let It Bring You Down.
