If you’ve never heard of a band being described as “beach-goth,” you’re not alone. Up until a couple of days ago I had never heard of that term either. So what exactly is beach-goth and what does a band that plays it sound like? Well, the genre is the brainchild of the Orange Country, Calif.-based band The Growlers – who filter the sounds of 1960′s surf rock (think The Ventures) and drag it through a haze of scuzzed out lo-fi psychedelia.

Last week the band released their latest studio album, Hung at Heart, and have dropped the trippy music video for Salt On A Slug that is comprised entirely of oddball found footage. Let’s check it out…
