Volcano Choir — Justin Vernon’s collaboration with Collections of Colonies of Bees — released their sophomore LP, Repave, on September 3rd. The band are currently on tour, and they’ve been unveiling some new material: As Pitchfork (via Stereogum) notes, the band performed non-album track “Valleyonaire” in New York last night.
Check out the song, which begins around the 12:55 mark, in the clip below (taken from the band’s Boston show from last week). Repave pushed the band toward more accessible, less abstract territory, but this new track is surprisingly driving and upbeat — even by their new standards.
