For the first time in their 30+ year career, Metallica headlined and curated their own festival last weekend. The Orion Music + More fest took place at Bader Field in Atlantic City, which had hosted Phish the previous weekend. As part of the metal legend’s performances, they played all of famed albums Ride The Lightning on Saturday and The Black Album on Sunday.
Metallica has performed all of the tunes on Ride The Lightning in the past with the exception of one. Saturday’s set marked the live debut of Escape, 28 years after the release of RTL.
