Wilco Experiments With Selling Live Recordings

We’ve been hoping that HT faves Wilco would start selling live recordings from recent shows for the past few years, so we’re beyond excited that Jeff Tweedy and Co. have just announced the “launch of a little experiment.” The band has just updated the Roadcase section of WilcoWorld.net with downloadable versions of recent Wilco shows from Red Rocks (6/23/2012) and Geneva, Illinois (07/08/2012) that are available for purchase.

These recent shows are up-for-sale in three different formats – 256kbps MP3 for $9, FLACs for $12 and ALACs (Apple’s lossless format) for $12. They’ve even provided a tutorial for those unfamiliar with downloading shows. We’re hopeful that this experiment will go well and that Wilco eventually puts all of their shows up for sale. Wilco plays in Brooklyn tonight and tomorrow.
