Good list, though we'll have to disagree on Arctic Monkeys. It's funny, I really didn't care much for In Rainbows at first then I went back a few days ago and thought it was great. It would've probably made my 20. I'm not worried though, I think those Radiohead kids might not need the publicity.

Understand completely, just surprised no one was giving it love. While I understand In rainbows is an excellent album on many levels and would be on my "best of list" it wouldn't be on my 'favorite list' so I understand.

I really dug Icky Thump, Xeyed...but just not as much as the other 10. And, again, I wasn't arguing for best, just my favorites. Icky Thump would have made my Top 15 cut for sure.

Wow not one mention of Icky Thump, I would put that as album of the year?

I agree with other comments as well We All Belong and Cease to Begin were both great releases. I also think Fort Nightly from the White Rabbits deserves mention as does Dinosaur Jr's return to form with Beyond. I agree with Ace, it baffles me how incredibly catchy the Arctic Monkeys are.

Here's mine, in no particular order....

1) Panda Bear - Person Pitch

2) Black Mountain - In the Future (I’m picking this one even though it actually comes out ‘in the future’, Jan. 22, but I first heard it a couple months ago and I think it’s fantastic)

3) Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil (the studio album)

4) Black Lips - Los Valientes del Mundo Nuevo (the live album)

5) Mother Hips - Kiss the Crystal Flake

6) Ween - La Cucaracha (studio genius that we’ve come to expect from the brown boys)

7) Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? (comfortable enough with my sexuality to admit that I love this album)

8) Arcade Fire - Neon Bible (sorry, this is on everyone’s list for a reason)

9) Libertines - A Time For Heroes (Yes, this is Pete Doherty’s ex-band and this is a ‘best of’ that just came out in December; it’s the first I’ve heard of the Libertines and I realized they’re really good)

10) Kings of Leon - Because of the Times (love this band)
