Smell the Glove #4: Michael Houser’s Sandbox with John Keane
Straight out of the Tenderloin Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, freelance writer & photographer Andy Tennille is a fan of comedian Bill Hicks, Studio One reggae compilations, North Carolina barbeque and chicks with tattoos.
In this episode, Smell the Glove travels down to Athens, Georgia to visit producer John Keane in his studio to discuss his relationship with the late Michael Houser, guitarist and founding member of Widespread Panic. Keane fills us in on the making of Houser’s first solo album, Door Harp, and spins a few tracks from the guitarist’s last album, Sandbox, which he produced and will be released next Monday, January 24 on Supercat Records.
