Tour Dates: Bowlive Returns Tonight

Last year, Soulive helped to celebrate the month of March with a ten-show, guest-laden residency at Brooklyn Bowl that was cleverly dubbed Bowlive.

For the second year in a row, the organ-groove trio will make the venue its home away from home with another ten-gig stand that kicks off tonight. Once again, the run will feature a variety of special guests that are already penciled in to sit in with the band throughout the run. Among the announced acts that will be joining Soulive this year will be Maceo Parker, Bernie Worrell, Robert Randolph, Karl Denson, Matisyahu, John Scofield, Oteil & Kofi Burbridge and Nigel Hall. Tickets for the entire run are on sale now, including a special ten-show pass that’s available for $125.

If you’re not into a night with Soulive and friends, then maybe you’ll be interested in hitting one of these recently announced tours…

Finally, the Mother Hips have announced the initial details for its third annual Family Hipnic festival, which will once again return to the Fernwood Resort in Big Sur, CA on May 13 and 14. The two-day fest, which will be headlined by the San Francisco roots-rockers, will also feature sets from The Skinny Singers, Nicki Bluhm, Pegi Young & The Survivors, Sean Hayes, Big Eagle, Farmer Dave Scher, Little Wings, Sweet Chariot, Andy Cabic (Vetiver) & Eric Johnson & Richard Swift, Neal Casal and Al Jardine (Beach Boys).
