The Cure & Robert Smith Pay Subtle Tribute to Prince In Minnesota With Purple Guitar (PHOTOS)

The Cure brought their 3 + hour long show to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN on 6/7/16. Ironically Minnesota native Prince passed away on Robert Smith’s Birthday and the night of The Cure show in St. Paul was on what would have been Prince’s birthday. The Cure did not cover a Prince song, but had a more subtle tribute; Robert Smith played a purple guitar that had some lyrics from “Starfish and Coffee” printed on it (it was 7:45 we were all in line).  Photos by Patrick Dunn
