28 Years Ago Today – Miles Davis Dies at 65 (Watch The Last Performance ’91)

28 years ago today (9/28/91), jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer Miles Davis died of a stroke and pneumonia. Davis was at the forefront of several major developments in jazz music, including bebop, cool jazz, hard bop, modal jazz, and jazz fusion. His landmark albums are numerous and his legacy is tremendous. Watch his last performance live in Avignon from 1991.
